Alfa Romeo dashboard warning lights

36 lights that the Alfa Romeo Giulia handbook (MY23 (printed October 2022)) shows, each in our own drawing, with Alfa Romeo's name for it next to ours, the colour the handbook gives it and what the handbook says to do. Tap a light for its full page.

Check your own handbook — models differ. This page is one handbook for one model. Another Alfa Romeo model or year can have lamps this one lacks, or draw the same lamp differently; only your car's own handbook is sure.

Read this first

Every light below is confirmed by one Alfa Romeo document: the Quick Guide for the MY23 Giulia, from Alfa Romeo Australia's own site. It is the short printed guide that ships in the car, not the full Owner Handbook, which Alfa Romeo publishes only online (eLUM, reached through mopar.eu/owner). So each entry here is short: the guide gives every lamp its colour and its name, which says what it means, and a mark for what to do. A lamp marked (*) in the guide means contact an Alfa Romeo Dealership; the tyre-pressure lamp's (**) means repair at once with the Tirekit kit and contact a dealer. Where an entry below says to contact a dealer, that is the guide's mark. The guide warns that its list is not complete and that the online Owner Handbook gives the causes and actions in full. Some Giulia lamps share one colour for very different faults: the red brake lamp is low brake fluid OR the electric parking brake being on, and the amber ESC lamp is listed both for ESC intervening and for an ESC or Hill Start Assist failure. If every lamp stays off, the instrument panel display itself has failed: contact a dealer.

Not in this handbook

27 lights on this site are not shown by this handbook, so they are left off this page — among them parking brake light, side airbag warning light, passenger airbag off light, hazard warning light, low tyre pressure light showing which tyre, tpms light. That does not mean no Alfa Romeo has them — only that this handbook does not. If your car shows one, find it by colour and shape.
