CDA oven symbols
11 symbols that CDA itself documents, each in our own drawing, with the CDA name for the mode next to ours. Tap a symbol for what it does, where makes differ and every source.
Check your manual — models differ. Two CDA ovens can carry different sets of symbols, and the same drawing can mean different things on different brands; only your model’s manual says exactly which elements run and how hot.

CDA, now part of the Amica group, draws the oven fan as a plain X instead of a propeller: a cross in a circle is the fan oven, and a cross on its own with no lines is Defrost. Its “Warming oven” is the bottom element alone, not a keep-warm setting. The manual checked is for the SC300SS twelve-function oven; its Rapid preheating symbol (an oven outline with an arrow and a thermometer) has no page here yet.
The 11 symbols
Top and bottom heat (conventional)
CDA calls it “Conventional oven”.
Confirmed by:
- CDA — SC300SS twelve-function electric oven instruction manual, checked 2026-10-09: “Conventional oven”: a line at the top and one at the bottom; 100–250 °C, for cakes, meat, fish, bread and pizza on one tray in a preheated oven.

CDA calls it “Fan oven”.
Confirmed by:
- CDA — SC300SS twelve-function electric oven instruction manual, checked 2026-10-09: “Fan oven”: the fan drawn as an X inside a circle; the circular element heats (50–250 °C) and the fan spreads the hot air for even heat.

CDA calls it “Fan assisted oven”.
Confirmed by:
- CDA — SC300SS twelve-function electric oven instruction manual, checked 2026-10-09: “Fan assisted oven”: the X-shaped fan between a top and a bottom line; CDA calls it the most suitable setting for baking cakes.

Not listed for CDA
The CDA sources checked here do not show these symbols from this site, so they are left off this page: Pizza, Intensive heat, Slow cook, Plate warming, Keep warm, Reheat, Dough proving, Steam or added steam, Fast preheat, Pyrolytic self-cleaning, Steam cleaning, Child lock, Timer or minute minder, Alarm, Bread baking, Top heat only. That does not mean no CDA oven has them — only that no CDA manual or support page cited here confirms the drawing. If your oven shows one, see all oven symbols by shape.
