Roborock: Error 8
The robot is hemmed in or caught by something around it.
What the robot says: Error 8: Remove any obstacles around the main unit
Applies to: Roborock S6; Roborock Support Center article for Roborock robot vacuums. What you notice: red light, flashing or blinking; error number 8; a spoken message. This number is Roborock’s; on another maker’s robot the same number means something else.
What Roborock says to do
- Clear any obstacles around the robot.
- Press and spin the wheels by hand to check they are not stuck, and work them free if they are.
- If the water tank is fitted, take it out and try again.
- If you continue to see this error, contact Roborock Customer Support.
