SD card messages on a CPAP machine

The memory card records your nights for your equipment provider. None of these makers says a card message changes the therapy; the risk is that nights are not recorded while the card is out, full or unreadable.

Therapy settings: This page explains what a CPAP machine’s screen or light is telling you, in the maker’s words. It is not medical advice: ask your equipment provider or clinician about your therapy settings, and do not change your pressure or any prescribed setting because of anything here.

ResMed

  1. ResMed AirSense 10 Words on the screen

    SD card error, remove your card and press Start to begin therapy

    The SD card may not be inserted correctly.

    What ResMed says to do

    1. Remove and reinsert the SD card.

  2. ResMed AirSense 10 Words on the screen

    Read only card, please remove, unlock and re-insert SD card

    The small switch on the side of the SD card may be in the lock (read-only) position.

    What ResMed says to do

    1. Move the switch on the SD card from the lock position to the unlock position, then reinsert it.

  3. ResMed AirSense 10 A light on the machine

    SD light flashing

    Data is being written to the card.

    What ResMed says to do

    1. Do not remove the SD card while the light is flashing.

  4. ResMed AirSense 11 A light on the machine

    Blue light at the SD card cover

    The indicator by the SD card cover is blue when data is being written to the SD card.

    What ResMed says to do

    1. Do not remove the SD card while the SD light is flashing.

Philips Respironics

  1. Philips Respironics DreamStation 2 Words on the screen

    SD Error, Remove/Reinsert

    The machine cannot read the SD card: the card may have a problem, it may have been removed while being written to, or it may have been inserted incorrectly.

    What Philips Respironics says to do

    1. Press the Therapy button to clear the notification.
    2. Remove and reinsert the SD card.
    3. If the alert continues, contact your provider.

    SD Full, Contact provider

    The SD card is full.

    What Philips Respironics says to do

    1. Remove the SD card and replace it with a new one, or contact your provider for a new card.

    1. Reinsert the SD card to record therapy data.

    SD Card Activity, Do not remove

    A status message: the SD card is being read or written. No action is needed; it times out by itself.

    What Philips Respironics says to do

    1. Do not remove the card while it shows.

React Health

  1. React Health Luna G3 Words on the screen

    SD Card Full! / Reinsert SD Card!

    “SD Card Full!” shows when the SD card has reached its maximum capacity. “Reinsert SD Card!” shows when the SD card fails to work.

    The alert table gives no step beyond the message itself. If a problem persists, React Health says to contact your home care provider.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare

  1. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare SleepStyle An icon on the screen

    InfoUSB icon; with a line through it, or missing

    The SleepStyle records to an F&P InfoUSB stick instead of an SD card. The icon shows the InfoUSB is connected and working. With a line through it, or a gap where it should be, it may not be connected correctly or there may be an error: you are still treated, but your data may not be recorded to the InfoUSB.

    What Fisher & Paykel Healthcare says to do

    1. Remove the InfoUSB from its port and reinsert it. When it is connected correctly the icon appears on the home screen.
