Philips TV: LED flashing over and over, red or white, TV will not start
The TV does not turn on, no Philips logo or menu appears, and the front LED keeps flashing in a repeating pattern, red or white. Philips treats this as a TV that cannot start and gives four steps.

What Philips says to do
- Philips says: if the screen stayed black after you used the button on the TV but the LED came on, the TV is still in standby, so switch it on with the standby button on the remote.
- Philips says to power-cycle the TV: unplug all cables, accessories and devices (including a CAM module), wait at least one minute after the LED goes off, then plug in only the power cable. If it does not start, Philips says to repeat this once.
- Philips says to try a different wall socket, not a power strip, after checking that the socket works with another device.
If none of those steps works, Philips says to contact Philips TV Customer Support.
