Roomba: Charging Error 6 or 7

6
Our drawing of a round robot from above: red light, steady (solid); error number 6 or 7.

The battery is too warm or too cold to charge, so the robot has stopped charging to protect it.

Applies to: Roomba 500 to 900 series, e, i, j and s series. What you notice: red light, steady (solid); error number 6 or 7. This number is iRobot’s; on another maker’s robot the same number means something else.

What iRobot says to do

  1. Let the robot come to room temperature, then try charging again.
  2. If that does not fix it, contact iRobot Customer Care.
