Roomba: Error 6
The robot keeps detecting a drop (a ‘cliff’), so it will not move. iRobot says to check that the cliff sensors underneath are clear of debris.
What the robot says: Drop off detected. Move to a new area, and then press Clean
Applies to: Roomba i Series. What you notice: red light, steady (solid); error number 6; a spoken message. This number is iRobot’s; on another maker’s robot the same number means something else.
What iRobot says to do
- Check that the cliff sensors are clear of debris.
- Move Roomba to a new area and press CLEAN.
- If the message persists, contact iRobot Customer Care.
