Shark: Error 30 or 1089, cannot return to base
The robot cannot find its base.
Applies to: Shark RV2800 series. What you notice: error number 30 or 1089. This number is SharkNinja’s; on another maker’s robot the same number means something else.
What SharkNinja says to do
- Check the base is plugged into a working socket and has power, and that nothing blocks the robot’s path to it.
- Keep the base out of direct sunlight and off carpet; if you move the base, map the area again.
- Put the robot on the base, press VACUUM, and after at least 30 seconds press DOCK. It may realign a few times before it docks.
- If the error keeps returning, contact Shark support with your model and this error code.
