Check your manual — models differ. Two AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi machines can carry different sets of symbols, and the same drawing can mean different things on different brands; only your model’s manual says exactly what a programme or light does on your machine.
Read this first
AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi are sister brands in the Electrolux group. Most symbols below come from the display table in an AEG LAVATHERM heat-pump tumble dryer manual, so they are dryer symbols. The washing-machine symbol confirmed on AEG’s own support pages is the padlock, and on an AEG washing machine it means Child Lock is on, not that the door is locked; AEG says the buttons that switch it off are marked with the padlock. No Electrolux- or Zanussi-branded guide has been checked yet, so on those machines confirm in your manual.

Iron: easy iron (washer) or iron dry (dryer)
