Check your manual — models differ. Two LG machines can carry different sets of symbols, and the same drawing can mean different things on different brands; only your model’s manual says exactly what a programme or light does on your machine.

Read this first

LG’s support page covers the lights on its front-load washers and on the WashTower, a washer and dryer built as one stacked unit, and says the control panel “may vary by model”. LG’s cycle status lights draw a T-shirt rather than a tub: standing in water for rinsing, with a spiral for spinning. One icon, a key crossed out in a circle, serves for both the door lock and the control lock. The lint filter, condenser clean and cool down lights belong to the WashTower’s dryer half. LG also says the remaining time shown “is only an estimate”. Every confirmation here comes from LG Canada’s English support page.
