Check your manual — models differ. Two Beko, Grundig and Blomberg machines can carry different sets of symbols, and the same drawing can mean different things on different brands; only your model’s manual says exactly what a programme or light does on your machine.

Read this first

Beko, Grundig and Blomberg belong to the same group (Arçelik). Beko’s WI 1382 manual labels its display symbols with letters: a is the spin symbol, g the door-locked padlock, m the hourglass for a time delay. Its programmes (Cottons Eco, Synthetics, Woollens and the rest) are described by name rather than drawn, so they are not listed here as symbols. Two Beko habits: the hourglass means a delayed start is set, and a cold wash shows as “-” rather than a snowflake. No Grundig- or Blomberg-branded manual has been checked, so on those machines confirm in your manual.
