Cupboard dry
A sensor dryness level: the dryer stops when the load is dry enough to fold and put away.
What it is for
Everyday cottons and synthetics that go straight into drawers. AEG’s standard cotton programme — the one on its energy label — is Cottons with cupboard dry.
Makes differ, check your machine’s manual: the same drawing can mean different things on different brands, and only your model’s manual says exactly what a programme does, how hot and how long.

Where makes differ
Bosch and AEG both draw a wardrobe. AEG adds a wardrobe with a plus for cupboard dry +, and a sun for extra dry; Whirlpool calls these settings Dryness Level. An iron in the same row means iron dry: damp for ironing.

Often confused with
On a washing machine: an option that reduces creasing, mainly by spinning more gently. On a tumble dryer: the iron-dry level, which stops while the laundry is still slightly damp for ironing.
