Xbox power supply: Original Xbox One power brick light off or flashing orange
The power supply unit needs to be replaced, if the light is still off or flashing orange after the 10-second reset.
Applies to: Original Xbox One (external power supply). What you see: no light and orange or amber, off or flashing or blinking. Where: the power supply brick.
What Microsoft says to do
- Do the reset first: unplug the power cables from the console, the wall and the power supply, wait 10 seconds, plug the cable into the wall and the supply only, and look at the light again.
If it is still wrong
Microsoft no longer makes the original Xbox One or its power supply, so out-of-warranty support has ended; an in-warranty replacement goes through the page’s Device Support link. Microsoft: support.xbox.com
