PlayStation controller: DualSense light bar blinks, then the player indicator lights

The controller is pairing. The light bar blinks while it connects, and the player indicator below the touch pad lights up once it is properly paired.

What Sony says to do

  1. To pair a controller for the first time, switch the console on, connect the controller with the included USB cable and press the PS button.
  2. To add a second controller, go to Settings > Accessories > General > Bluetooth Accessories with the first one, then on the new controller press and hold the create button and the PS button together until it is listed on screen, and select it.
