PlayStation console: Keeps blinking white, or stays blue (solid or blinking)
Console error: the console has frozen. Blue is only meant to show for a moment on the way to white, so a light that stays blue, or white that keeps blinking and never settles, is the frozen state.
Applies to: PS5 and PS4 consoles. What you see: white and blue, flashing or blinking or steady (solid). Where: the console.
What Sony says to do
- Unplug the console from the mains.
- Wait 3 minutes, plug it back in and turn it on again.
- If it keeps happening, reinstall the console software from Safe Mode.
