Sensi thermostat: Smart Alert: Loss of Cooling
An app alert that the home is not cooling. Sensi says the thermostat does not know whether the cooling system is actually on: if the set temperature is below the room temperature it tries to turn cooling on, but a system problem can stop it running.

What Sensi says to do
- Check no doors or windows are open.
- Put your hand in front of a vent. Cold air means the cooling is on: reset the thermostat, and if the alerts continue, Sensi says your system may not be sized right for the space and to consult an HVAC professional. No air or lukewarm air means the cooling may not be turning on.
- Keep the temperature sensor openings on the side of the cover clean and unblocked, and allow 30 to 60 minutes after a reset for the room temperature to re-calibrate.
