The same Miele code on more than one appliance

Miele uses these codes on more than one of its appliances. Read the one for your machine: the cause and what you can check are the maker’s for that appliance, and they can differ even where the fault sounds alike.

Miele appliances left out, and why

  • Miele tumble dryer: Miele’s own heat-pump dryer manual (TEC 665 WP, en-GB, M.-Nr. 12 489 070) shows faults as indicator lights — the condensed-water container, the fluff filters — and as an F with “another number combination” that it does not list. Those are symbols, not codes, and Miele UK’s support pages refused our requests (HTTP 403). That is fewer than 4 codes, so no page; for the lights, see the dryer symbols on the washing-machine page.
  • Miele’s numbered codes (F10, F11, F20 …): Miele’s current manuals, which we list, write faults out in words; the Miele support pages that explain the older numbered codes refused our requests (HTTP 403), so those numbers are not listed.

Switch off and unplug before checking. Anything electrical, anything to do with gas, and any water leak at the mains: call a technician. Two Miele models can use different codes: your model’s manual is the authority.
