LG air conditioner remote symbols
11 buttons and icons that LG itself documents, each in our own drawing, with LG’s name for it in quotes and what LG’s document says it does. Tap a drawing for the symbol’s own page: how other makes use it and every source.
Makes differ, check your unit’s manual: the same drawing can mean different things on different brands, and only your model’s manual says exactly what a button does and which modes it works in.

LG’s help-library page covers four remotes — Art Cool, Dual Cool and two wall-mounted remotes — and says “Different air conditioner models may support different functions and features.” On the Art Cool and Dual Cool remotes, “Each press changes the mode in this order: Cooling → Auto → Dehumidification → Heating → Fan”. The page names the modes but explains only Fan, so cooling, heating and dry are not listed below. Each row names the remote the wording comes from.

Not listed for LG
The LG document checked here does not explain these symbols from this site, so they are left off this page: Cool mode, Heat mode, Dry mode, Auto mode, Quiet / Silence, I Feel / Follow Me, Clean-filter reminder, Defrost indicator, 8 °C / 10 °C frost-guard heating, Remote lock. That does not mean no LG unit has them, only that the LG source cited here does not describe them. If your remote shows one, find it by its shape.
