Daikin’s web operation manual is for a wall-mounted room air conditioner whose remote has COOL, DRY and FAN modes but no HEAT, so heating is not covered here. Its MODE button steps through the modes in sequence; separate buttons start POWERFUL, ECONO, the streamer and MOLD PROOF. Watch the blade names: Daikin calls the up-and-down blades “flaps (horizontal blades)” and the left-and-right blades “louvres (vertical blades)”.

The Daikin pages checked here do not explain these symbols from this site, so they are left off this page: Heat mode, Auto mode, Sleep mode, On/off timer, I Feel / Follow Me, Clean-filter reminder, Defrost indicator, Display light on/off, 8 °C / 10 °C frost-guard heating, Remote lock. That does not mean no Daikin unit has them, only that the Daikin source cited here does not describe them. If your remote shows one, find it by its shape.
