Samsung air conditioner remote symbols
9 buttons and icons that Samsung itself documents, each in our own drawing, with Samsung’s name for it in quotes and what Samsung’s document says it does. Tap a drawing for the symbol’s own page: how other makes use it and every source.
Makes differ, check your unit’s manual: the same drawing can mean different things on different brands, and only your model’s manual says exactly what a button does and which modes it works in.

Samsung Australia’s support page describes its current wall-mounted remote, where the Mode button steps through “Auto, Cool, Dry, Fan, and Heat”. It says “Remote displays and features can vary depending on the product model”, and it is “for Australian products only”. Quiet and Eco sit behind the Options button; Fast also has its own button. The page names Heat mode but does not explain it, so Heat is not listed below.

Not listed for Samsung
The Samsung document checked here does not explain these symbols from this site, so they are left off this page: Heat mode, Up-and-down air swing, Left-and-right air swing, Sleep mode, I Feel / Follow Me, Clean-filter reminder, Defrost indicator, Purify / Ioniser, Self-clean, Display light on/off, 8 °C / 10 °C frost-guard heating, Remote lock. That does not mean no Samsung unit has them, only that the Samsung source cited here does not describe them. If your remote shows one, find it by its shape.
