Smoke alarm

X-Sense: never ignore any alarm (XS01-WR manual). Check for signs of smoke or fire; if you see or smell smoke, evacuate immediately and call emergency services. If you are unsure what the hazard is, contact emergency services for guidance.

The X-Sense alarm on these pages senses smoke only. For a carbon monoxide alarm, follow its own maker’s instruction.

What X-Sense says to do about this signal

  1. Replace the battery immediately: twist the alarm off its bracket, pull the tab to take out the old CR123A, fit a new one the right way round, test, and twist it back on.
