What Sonos says to do

1. Press the Previous and Next buttons at the same time, or press the Join button.
2. If the product has no Join button, press Play/Pause or the Mute button instead.

The same colour on other speakers

Another maker’s speaker can use this colour for something else entirely.

• Echo: Solid red — The microphone on/off button has been pressed: the device microphone is disconnected and Alexa is not listening.
• Echo: Orange — Your device is in setup mode, or is trying to connect to the internet.
• Echo: Pulsing or flashing green — You’re receiving a call on the device.
• Echo: Spinning green — Your device is on an active call or an active Drop In.

• Nest: Orange lights count down — Your speaker is confirming that you want to perform a factory reset.
• HomePod: Static white light — Your HomePod speaker is playing audio.
• HomePod: White flashing light — A white light shining on and off repeatedly means HomePod isn’t responding normally.
• HomePod: White pulsing light — Your HomePod speaker is ready for setup.
• HomePod: White spinning light — Your HomePod speaker is turning on or updating software.
• HomePod: Orange flashing light — HomePod mini is connected to a computer, or is plugged into a power adapter that isn’t rated 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A).
• HomePod: Green pulsing light — You transferred a phone call to HomePod.
• HomePod: Red spinning light — You’re resetting your HomePod speaker.
