Dyson 360 Vis Nav: what each light, error and message means

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav tells you about a problem with an alert: an icon on its LCD touchscreen and in the MyDyson app, with the instructions to clear it in the app. Dyson’s manual names each alert and says what to do; there are no error numbers. Colour on this robot mostly means the cleaning mode: the mode arrow on the screen is red for Boost, orange for Quick, green for Quiet and blue for Auto.

The LCD touchscreen is on top of the robot, between the bin and the domed LED light ring at the front. The manual describes the light ring’s eight LEDs as lighting for cleaning in low light, and gives no meaning for a colour of the light ring, so a red colour on this robot here is only the red Boost mode arrow on the screen. Dyson’s other robots (the 360 Heurist and 360 Eye) have their own manuals.

  14. Red arrow on the screen: Boost mode

Boost mode: more suction for ground-in dirt and pet hair, with less run time. It is a cleaning mode, not a fault.

  15. Orange arrow on the screen: Quick mode

Quick mode: for everyday cleans of open areas. The robot won’t deep clean edges and corners in this mode.

  16. Green arrow on the screen: Quiet mode

Quiet mode: less noise for peaceful areas, and a longer run time.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav. Dyson gives no step for this.

  17. Blue arrow on the screen: Auto mode

Auto mode: the robot reads dust levels and sets its suction power itself. Suction reacts to dust automatically only in this mode.
