Epson printer lights: what each blinking pattern means
Epson's entry-level EcoTank and Expression Home printers show status with a row of small lights: power, paper, ink and Wi-Fi. Epson's user guides give a “Product Light Status” table for each model, and the same light can mean different things on a tank printer and a cartridge printer: a flashing ink light is low ink on the XP-241, while on the ET-2400 the ink light flashes only together with the paper light. Epson's tables do not give colours, except the XP-241's orange Wi-Fi error.
Which Epson printer do you have?
The model name (for example “ET-2400” or “XP-241”) is printed on the printer. Epson writes a guide per model; match the number exactly, because neighbouring models can differ in a row (see the ET-2700 under Left out, and why).
Epson ET-2400: every pattern

What is not here
- Epson ET-2700 and ET-2750 — Eight of the ET-2700's ten light-status rows say the same as the ET-2400's, so a page of its own would repeat that page. The difference that matters: on the ET-2700 an ink pad near the end of its life is the power and paper lights flashing together (on the ET-2400 it is the ink and paper lights), and a power light that is simply on means the product is on. files.support.epson.com Checked 2026-09-29.
