Where the regulations differ

A washing machine prints a weighted average over three loads, rounded to whole litres; a dishwasher prints one eco-programme figure rounded to one decimal place. A washer-dryer prints one for the full wash-and-dry cycle and one for washing only.

What the number measures: Weighted water use of one eco 40-60 cycle.
Unit: litres per cycle, whole number
Test condition: eco 40-60 programme at rated capacity, half and a quarter of rated capacity.
