Dishwasher symbols by brand

Which lights, programmes and buttons does your make of dishwasher have, and what does the maker call each one? Pick your brand. Each page lists only what that brand’s own manual or support page shows (between 8 and 19 symbols per brand here), in our own drawings, with the maker’s name next to ours and the document named.

Check your manual — models differ. A brand page tells you what that maker’s documents show, not what your exact model has. Two dishwashers of the same make can carry different programmes and lights.

How a brand gets a page

A symbol is listed for a brand only when a manual or support page from that maker’s own website names or shows that light, programme or button. A brand needs at least 6 such symbols with their own page on this site; fewer would say too little to be worth a visit. Brands sold under several names (Bosch, Neff and Siemens, for example) share one page, but each page says which of the names its documents actually come from.

Left out, and why

  • Smeg: the one Smeg manual cited on this site shows only 4 symbols that have their own dishwasher page here (the no-rinse-aid light, Spread half load, Ultra Clean and Soak), below the floor of 6.

If your brand is missing, find the symbol by its shape instead: the shape pages cover every make cited on this site.
