Blink doorbell: Solid blue light
The doorbell is recording motion or someone is watching its live view.
Applies to: Status light on the Wired Doorbell 2K+, Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) and Battery Doorbell 2K+; button light on the Video Doorbell (1st Gen). What you see: blue, solid (steady), on the small status light or the light ring or button.
What Blink says to do
- Blink says you can turn this light off in the app under Device Settings > General Settings > Button LED > Off when Recording.
- On doorbells connected to chime wiring you can instead set it to Always On; battery-powered doorbells such as the Battery Doorbell 2K+ do not have that option.
