Arlo doorbell: Blinking or flashing amber
On the 2nd Generation: the doorbell is out of range, a connection error happened while pairing, or the battery is at 15% or less. On the Essential Wire-Free: the Arlo Secure App did not discover the doorbell. On the Essential Wired: a Wi-Fi error happened, or the doorbell failed to scan the QR code in the app while connecting to a 2.4 GHz network.
Applies to: All three: 2K/HD (2nd Generation), Essential Wire-Free and Essential Wired. What you see: orange or amber, flashing or blinking, on the light ring or button.
What Arlo says to do
- Essential models: Arlo says to make sure the doorbell and your phone are on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
The maker puts this light down to Wi-Fi or the network. If the problem is the router itself, its own lights are explained on the router and broadband hub lights page.
