Honeywell thermostat: “Wait” or “Waiting for Equipment”
The compressor protection is on: the thermostat is holding the heat pump or air conditioner off for a few minutes so it restarts safely.

What Honeywell Home says to do
- Honeywell Home says to wait 5 minutes to see whether the thermostat then calls for heat or cooling (the screen then shows HEAT ON or COOL ON).
- If the screen shows neither a call for heat or cool nor Waiting for Equipment, check the mode (upper left), the set point (upper right) and the room temperature (centre).
