Bread baking (loaf)
A preset for baking bread. AEG’s version adds occasional bursts of steam for a soft inside and a crisp crust.
What it is for
Any yeast bread dough (AEG). Neff pitches it as help for getting bread just right.
Makes differ, check your oven’s manual: the same drawing can mean different things on different brands, and only your model’s manual says exactly which elements run and how hot.
- What it looks like
- A loaf of bread seen from the side, with slashes across the top.
- Names makers use
- Bread baking (Neff, AEG)
Where makes differ
Only ovens with a bread preset show the loaf. AEG’s works with bursts of steam, so it belongs to its steam ovens; AEG’s SteamBake / True Fan PLUS function is described with the same words but drawn as a fan with a cloud.
Often confused with
A dedicated pizza mode. Which elements it runs and how hot it goes are set by the maker, which is why the picture is used instead of a heating diagram.
