myenergi zappi lights: what each colour and pattern means

The zappi v2.1 has a screen and, on its front, a coloured lighting-flash (bolt) indicator. Its colours say where the energy is coming from, which is the zappi’s point: green is charging on 100% green energy (from your own generation, such as solar panels), white is grid only, yellow a mix. myenergi’s manual says the brightness pulses with the charging power, and that these are only the default colours: from firmware 2.163 they can be changed in the Display & Sound menu, so a changed zappi may not match this list.

The light is the bolt on the front of the zappi. When it is red, the screen shows a fault message; the manual’s Fault Codes section lists each message with its action.

1. Pink light

   Connected: the car is plugged in.

   Charging on 100% green energy, that is, your own surplus generation. The pulsing varies with the charging power.
