Ohme Home Pro lights: what each colour and pattern means

The Ohme Home Pro has an LCD screen and indicator light strips beside it. The strips give the charger’s status at a glance; the screen gives the detail. Do not confuse the two reds: Ohme says the screen itself turns from blue to red when Max Charge is on (charge as fast as possible until full), which is normal, while a red light on the strips is an error.

The lights are the indicator strips on the front of the Home Pro. Ohme’s ePod, which has no screen, is not covered here: see Left out, and why.

1. No light on the strips

   Finished charging, or the car is unplugged.

   Ohme gives no step for this light.

2. Blue light

   Delayed charging: not charging now because of a scheduled delay, for example waiting for off-peak electricity.

   Ohme gives no step for this light.

3. Solid green light

   The car is plugged in but not drawing power.

   Ohme gives no step for this light.

4. Green light fading in and out

   Charging now, according to the schedule.

   Ohme gives no step for this light.

5. Red light on the strips

   Error.
