SDR: kWh per 1000 h (TVs and monitors)

Electricity the screen uses over 1000 hours of watching ordinary (standard dynamic range) video, in kilowatt-hours. 1000 hours is about 2.7 hours a day for a year.

Where the regulations differ

Light-bulb labels print kWh/1000h too, but for a lamp it is simply full-power on-mode consumption; a TV’s figure comes from a video test loop, and the label repeats it for HDR content.

Unit: kWh per 1000 h, whole number
Test condition: standardised test sequences of moving pictures from dynamic broadcast content, in the normal configuration as delivered.
