Hive thermostat and receiver: what its lights and messages mean
On Hive heating the lights that matter are on the receiver, the white box by your boiler or hot water tank, not on the thermostat. Its top-right status light tells you whether the receiver can talk to the thermostat and the Hive Hub: green is connected, red has lost the thermostat, amber, pink or white are pairing, and no light at all means no power.
The status light is top right on the receiver. A single-channel receiver (heating only, fitted to combi boilers) and a dual-channel receiver (heating and hot water, conventional boilers) use the same status colours. The thermostat itself shows words such as ‘No Signal’.
