Apple HomePod speaker lights: what each colour means
Apple’s support article lists eight lights on the top of HomePod (2nd generation) and HomePod mini, each by colour and movement, with the step to take. Orange is used for one thing only, on HomePod mini: a power problem.
The lights are on the top surface of the speaker. HomePod mini is the small round one; HomePod is the tall one.
Static white light
Your HomePod speaker is playing audio.

White flashing light
A white light shining on and off repeatedly means HomePod isn’t responding normally.
