Orange dot at the top of an iPhone: what does it mean?
On an iPhone it means an app is using the microphone.

- iPhone (Apple) — Microphone in use. The microphone is being used by an app. It appears as an orange square when Differentiate Without Color is turned on in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size.
