Keurig K-Elite: what the lights mean
Single-serve K-Cup pod brewer with a clock display
The K-Elite has five brew-size buttons (4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 oz), STRONG, ICED and HOT WATER buttons, a green power light, ADD WATER and DESCALE lights, and a small screen that shows the clock and three icons: a sun (Auto On set), a moon (Auto Off on) and a mountain (High Altitude mode). Keurig’s guide explains every one of them except the DESCALE light, which it labels on the drawing but never describes; it says to descale every 3 to 6 months instead. Two lights-at-once patterns in its troubleshooting list are the ones owners most often ask about.

| Add Water light on | Water: The brewer wants water: the reservoir is low or empty, or it is not sitting properly on its base, and it will not brew until that is fixed. |
| 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 oz and ICED lights all on at the same time | Fault or blockage: Keurig lists this under ‘Brewer will not brew’ and gives a short reset routine for it; the guide does not name the cause. |
