Signal bars at the top of a phone: what does it mean?
The strength of your mobile (cellular) signal: more filled bars, stronger signal.
What each maker says
- iPhone (Apple) — Cell signal. The number of bars shows the signal strength of your cellular service; with no signal, the words “No Service” appear instead. On models with Dual SIM, the upper row is the line you use for cellular data and the lower row is your other line; open Control Center to see which plan and carrier each row belongs to.
