Where this symbol comes from
No standalone ISO 3758 equivalent. The current ISO edition only combines 'no steam' with one-dot ironing.
Often confused with
Iron at a low setting (soleplate up to 120 °C) with the steam switched off. The crossed-out steam jets under the iron are what separate it from the plain one-dot symbol.
